The single "Pilgrimage To Earth" is the result of the joint work of two synthwave projects from Russia: "Sequel Police" and "RetroDiskette.doc".
We tried to keep this track in the classical outrun style in order to fully convey the atmosphere of scientific and social fiction of the second half of the twentieth century with its search for answers to questions about the future of humanity in technological and moral aspects.
Will the man of the future, living thousands of light years away from Earth, be able to believe in simple earthly feelings? Will a citizen of a galaxy see his home in the Earth, or will the Earth be forever alien and cold for him? Will the desire for the stars devalue all that is human within us, or will we be able to keep the most cherished in our hearts, no matter how far the endless starry emptiness brings us? Will we become wonderful interstellar romantics and creators, or will we turn into soulless consumers who have expanded their area of interest to interstellar scales?
These questions were once put before us by the great Robert Sheckley in his story, which gave the title to our single.
Today, after almost 70 years, they still have not lost their relevance.
